RS Electronics is one of the largest
Honeywell sensing and control distributors in North America, including the
distribution of such products as pressure sensors, limit switches and
snap-action switches.
We offer one of the largest selections of absolute, differential, gage, and vacuum gage
pressure sensors by Honeywell that utilize
silicon diaphragm technology.
Standard pressure sensor versions are ideal for low-cost commercial grade applications while
stainless steel and brass housing versions
are available for harsh conditions.

Equipment Health Monitoring Systems
- The concept of equipment health
monitoring is a simple one. Monitor the steady state characteristics of the
equipment and learn those characteristics. If these conditions change in a
negative way then generate an alarm, investigate the problem and make a
correction before the fault becomes so serious that a plant is shut down,
production is lost and costs spiral.
These new devices from Honeywell eliminate many of these issues by
simplifying the analysis. The monitoring is reduced to a simple go/no go
digital output and indication from Green to Red indicating drift in the
measured characteristic. Ten separate devices can monitor the steady state
of ten different physical characteristics of a piece of equipment. A
particular device is set to an input value as "normal." If this value
drifts, an alarm is generated. This alarm allows investigation of the source
of the detected fault. The device output is digital; a dual color LED is
normally green, indicating normal. Should the device detect a fault, the LED
turns red. At the same time, the device's output will change state from open
to closed. This output can be connected to an alarm or PLC input, allowing
the alarm to be graphically shown and to generate a "system" alarm. The
color-coded devices are simple to set up and use.
These products are best used for situations
requiring independent control
system monitoring for temperature loss or rise, vibration, fluid flow or
leak, mechanical noise or wear, slope change, mechanical insertion or
audible noise.
