INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
RS Electronics is a division of Carlton-Bates, a subsidiary of WESCO Distribution, and is a major broad-line distributor of electronic components, test and measurement equipment and electrical products. We are currently looking for an Inside Sales Representative for our Industrial OEM Sales department at the Kansas City Branch in Overland Park, KS. This is a full-time position.
We are seeking an individual to work in a high energy, fast-paced, proactive environment servicing and growing the business at existing accounts and developing new accounts.
Job Responsibilities include:
• Maintain and develop business relationships with assigned accounts
• Work with field sales to develop growth strategies for target customer accounts
• Handle inbound and outbound calls with customers seeking price, delivery and order status information
• Manage Inventory Management Programs
• Negotiate purchase orders and contracts with the purchasing organizations of a wide variety of manufacturing and service companies
• Perform quoting, order entry and expediting processes for sale orders.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong sales and customer service skills
• Work in a team environment with other sales and purchasing personnel to facilitate customer requests for standard and customized products and services
• Industry experience is preferred, but not required
• Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills
• Intermediate PC skills and Microsoft applications experience is required; advanced skills are preferred
